Kurt and Roger Abraham are White Oak domino champs

Brothers Kurt & Roger Abraham from Grandfond now have the opportunity to play for a $10,000 prize in the regional white oak rum domino competition.

That’s because they have won the 2013 White Oak Rum national domino pairs competition sponsored by Fine Foods Inc.

In the grand finals played at the Mahaut community centre on Saturday evening, the boys from the South East district defeated Michael David & David Samuel from the West Central in the final by 3 sets to 1. Scores: 6-2, 6-4, 5-6 and 6-1.

After defeating Rickey Toussaint & Eyan Robert 3 sets to 1 in the semi finals, the Abraham brothers took on Michael David & David Samuel who had earlier disposed of Africa Actneal & Clement Darroux by 3 sets to 2.

Kurt and Roger Abraham will receive $500.00 dollars, one case of white oak rum and two trophies .The runners up will receive $300.00 dollars and drinks.

The prize giving ceremony will be held next week.
