The National Rounders Committee is gearing for the opening of the 2016 National Rounders League.

Fine Foods Inc, is the headline Sponsor of this year’s league which will be called the “The Giant Malt 2016 National Rounders League”.

The Dominica National Lottery is also a part sponsor of the league.

Some eighteen teams have already expressed interest in participating in the league and the Formal Opening is scheduled for this Sunday July 3 at Lindo Park, Goodwill from 9:30 a.m.

Addresses are expected from key officials to be followed by a ball o rama among the participating teams.

Registration is still open for other teams wanting to participate in the league which is hoped will bring the participants closer to realizing the goal of getting more formal recognition and development of the sport of Rounders.

Dubique Strikers are the defending champions.
